Meet Taz
Wellness counsellor and yoga teacher with a passion for people and holistic wellbeing.
My yoga practice started in high-school when I was looking for ways to improve my physical and mental health. I started teaching yoga while studying Psychology, in South- Africa. Interested in more holistic approaches to health and wellbeing I furthered my studies to become a wellness counsellor, and started using yoga as a complementary approach in combination with talk- based therapy.
Now based in the Fraser- Coast, Queensland, Australia I am focussed on providing online counselling and yoga sessions that are accessible, nurturing, and centred around the goal of improving mental health and wellbeing.

If you're curious about a unique blend of practices that truly connects your mind, body, and spirit, this approach might be your perfect fit.
This isn't just a yoga class or traditional therapy. Imagine finding calm through mindful movement and breath, then tapping into your inner world with creative expression like painting or journaling. The key is having a yoga teacher who is also a qualified wellness counsellor. This ensures every stretch, every brushstroke, and every reflection is held within a safe, understanding space.

Combining talk therapy with practices like yoga and creative play creates a truly holistic approach to well-being. Here's why this blend is so valuable:
Trauma-Informed Support:
Yoga and creative activities can sometimes bring up past difficult emotions. A counsellor understands this and can help you gently process these feelings, ensuring your journey is safe and empowering, never overwhelming.
Processing Challenging Emotions: While yoga or drawing might surface emotions, talk therapy provides a secure place to understand and process them. You can discuss feelings, explore their roots, and learn healthy ways to cope, with your counsellor as a steady anchor.
Deeper Self-Discovery: The insights you gain from a pose or a piece of art can be profound but sometimes confusing. Talking them through helps you connect these personal discoveries to your everyday life, deepening your understanding of yourself.

Having a yoga teacher who is also a trained counsellor creates a seamless, powerful support system. This professional can:
Integrate Mind and Body: They understand both the physical wisdom of yoga and the complexities of the mind, allowing them to tailor practices to your unique needs.
Provide Holistic Care: They can bridge what surfaces on the mat or during creative play with your therapeutic conversations, ensuring consistent support across all aspects of your wellness journey.
This combined approach allows for not just peace and self-expression, but also a deeper understanding, processing, and integration of your experiences for lasting well-being.
